We've been here for 6 days now and we're loving it. I haven't unpacked everything yet but the house looks relatively decent.
The children are looking forward to starting their new schools on Thursday and although I'm excited for them I'm also a little sad as we now have just one day left together.
This summer has been pretty crappy for them. Towards the end of the school year it was a mad rush of new school visits and trying to prepare them for a move to another school in the Woodbridge area or upping sticks and moving to Norfolk. To say it was chaotic is an understatement. It's no wonder they didn't know whether they were coming or going.
Since the decision to move to Norfolk, our lives revolved around packing and we only had 2 proper days out. We had a holiday but even then we were constantly discussing the move. The children got fed up of hearing about it.
Yesterday was taken up with travelling to Ipswich for my driving test so I decided to forget about the house for a couple of days so I could make the most of the last 2 days of the holiday with the children.
My car was still being repaired so we decided to go for a bike ride, except my bike also needed repairing and I had got the parts so I walked and the children cycled.
We're very lucky to be 1 minute walk away from a massive green space, park and skate park. Running through this is Marriotts Way, a 26 mile footpath and cycle path following routes of two disused railways between Norwich and Aylsham.
We slowly made our way in the direction of Reepham and were amazed at how soon we were in amongst fields and farmland. The children loved it and I enjoyed the peace and quiet, that is until Molly and Harry collided!
Once my bike is fixed we're hoping to follow the path further along and also see if we can cycle to Norwich, which is just 5 miles away.
